Local media report that dozens of cars were in a traffic jam in front of the DCB gas station in Eindhoven. The price difference with the nearest pump was 59 cents per liter.
Several motorists also came to the gas station with jerry cans in the course of the evening to be able to take as much petrol as possible. Around 10 pm prices went up again and a liter of petrol cost 1.88 euros.
The gas station did not want to comment on the remarkably low price. Elsewhere in the Netherlands, petrol costs about 2 euros per litre.
