The winter sale has started in the Humble Store * and part of the discount campaign is also a separate sale page from the publisher giants Sega, Square Enix and Activision. And there is a lot to be gained there. Sega is not only known for a long time Sonic the Hedgehog, but also for great series like Yakuza, persona or Bayonetta. At Square Enix you not only get Final Fantasy, but also Tomb Raider and Nier Automata as well as classics like Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana. And so on. The sale is accordingly colorful.
Yakuza games for only 5 euros
You can get the (long overdue) entry into the Yakuza series with Yakuza Zero for only 4.99 euros *. If you’ve lived a life without Kazuma Kiryu so far, you should grab it. Living with Kazuma Kiryu is a better life.
Practical: When you have finished Yakuza Zero, you can also grab Yakuza Kiwami for 4.99 euros and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for 7.49 euros. By the way, you can also get Bayonetta, Sonic Mania and Vanquish for 4.99 euros. The two classics Shenmue I & II are available in a bundle for only 8.74 euros *.
And you suspect it. Of course, Persona 4 Golden should not be missing from this sale. The successful Steam version, which will hopefully pave the way for many more PC ports from Sega, costs 14.99 euros. This version alone has already sold over 500,000 times.
A special treat (at least for Dreamcast fans) is the Dreamcast Collection. For 4.49 euros you can get polished versions of the classics Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS Into Dreams, Sega Bass Fishing, Sonic Adventure DX and Space Channel 5: Part 2 in the Dreamcast Collection *.
Some recommendations from the deluge of Square Enix games
In addition to the obviously good deals, here are a few recommendations. The series reboot THIEF is particularly cheap at 2.99 euros *. The successful reboot relaunched the master thief series and attracts with a beautiful, dark Victorian setting. Definitely worth a look for the price.
SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions * (14.99 euros) should be rather unknown. The game, which was initially published exclusively in Japan for PS Vita, offers some innovations in the western version and is a classic JRPG. We put the game through a test, which you can find here.
Final Fantasy VI * is a very personal recommendation, regardless of this sale. The PC version is a bit controversial with the modified character sprites, but that shouldn’t detract from the game itself. If you’ve only found Final Fantasy with the 3D games in the series, then you should at least catch up on Final Fantasy VI at some point.
And there is also a free game
As befits a good sales start, there is also a game completely free. You can easily pick up the simulation Bomber Crew * at Humble. The game is about preparing your crew for their most dangerous mission yet. Take to the skies, manage everything that keeps your physics-based bomber in the air. From fuel to ammunition to hydraulics.
