If you want to add a large flat screen to your living room, but don’t want to spend too much money, you should take a look at the current Lidl offers. Two smart TVs are on offer, one each from Grunding and Philips. Although these are not top models, the price-performance ratio is very attractive.
Grundig TV 43 inches, 4K resolution, IPS panel and Android TV

Grundig has built a reputation over the past few years for making mediocre televisions at very reasonable prices. The company can no longer keep up with the premium range of the competition from Asia, but instead is targeting customers with a lighter budget – and with success.
Grundig Android TV 43 inches with 4K resolution for 279 euros at Lidl
The GRUNDIG “43 VLX 22 LDLB”, as listed by Lidl, offers a 43-inch screen diagonal, an IPS panel with 4K resolution and Android TV, proven and versatile smart TV software. It also offers HDR support and a built-in triple tuner.
The Grundig TV will not be able to keep up with a premium TV from Samsung in terms of sound and picture quality, but it is available from Lidl for a competitive price of 279 euros. The RRP is 539 euros.
50 inch Philips TV, 4K resolution, HDR10+ and Dolby support

The smart TV from Philips is significantly more expensive, but also offers a 50-inch screen diagonal.

For customers with a little more budget, Lidl sells this smart TV from Philips with a 50-inch screen diagonal and 4K resolution. The TV supports all common HDR formats including HDR10+ and is compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Thanks to Android TV, it can also be controlled via smart home systems such as Google Home or Alexa.
Philips Android TV 50 inches with 4K resolution for 399 euros at Lidl
With a price of 399 euros, the Philips television in the 50-inch segment is not quite as a price hit as the Grundig TV, but it is still cheap.
Alternatively, we can recommend this 4K TV from Samsung, which is currently reduced to €439 at Otto. For the 40 euro surcharge you get an established brand model with excellent screen quality. However, you have to do without Android TV, Samsung installs its own software.
