Daniel Abt addresses his fans with a statement. He explains his offense at the weekend from his point of view.
In a 14-minute video, Abt now addresses his fans and explains himself. Tenor: It was all supposed to be just a funny action, there were no intentions to defraud: “This simulation has nothing to do with real racing. I don’t care about the results. I wanted to entertain people, so we took part. ”
Daniel Abt will no longer drive for Audi in Formula E.
But fun became serious. Abbot is now without a cockpit in Formula E. He says:
“I was informed in a conversation with Audi today that we will go our separate ways with immediate effect and that the collaboration has ended. It is a pain that I have never experienced in this form in my life. I feel like I can’t fall deeper. I’m down, but I’ll get up again. ”
What’s next with Abbot? “I definitely need time for myself now to reflect on things and think about my future. But I think it always goes on. I would be happy if you accept my apology and see you again soon. ”
