Fortnite: Build Mode is back

After a break of several weeks, the build mode is now returning to the Battle Royale title “Fortnite”.

Build Mode has been re-enabled in Fortnite this week. The popular feature was switched off at the start of the new season on March 20, 2022. However, Fortnite players can now gather resources and build covers again.

Both modes remain in play

The combat-oriented gameplay introduced with the new season also lives on in the new Zero Build mode. Cover building is still disabled here. Both normal mode with build feature and zero build mode can be selected in Solo, Duos, Trios and Squad matches.

Mobility improvements in “Fortnite”

The ability to build defenses from collected materials was a unique selling point of “Fortnite” for a long time, which set the game apart from “PUBG” or “Apex Legends”. Players were all the more surprised when the feature was switched off with the start of the new season. The lack of game mechanics was compensated for by opportunities for climbing and faster sprinting.

Epic donates to Ukraine

Since the start of the new season, developer Epic Games has been donating all proceeds from the game to humanitarian causes in Ukraine. More than $100 million has already been raised for this last month.
