Fresh smoothie with kefir and blueberries

We can use this after all those Christmas dinners and bowls full of oliebollen with champagne: a healthboost in the form of a smoothie with kefir and blueberries. Drink it ice cold, then it tastes best.

Ingredients

For 1 person:

  • 200 ml of cold kefir
  • 150 grams of frozen blueberries, slightly thawed
  • 4 sprigs of fresh mint, just the leaves
  • Grate of half a lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon of honey

Kefir is extremely popular, just like kombucha. It is a fresh, fermented yogurt-like drink that is increasingly popping up on supermarket refrigerated shelves. Nice to make a healthy smoothie with it!

Smoothie with kefir and blueberries

Puree the blueberries, the mint leaves and the lime zest until smooth. Taste and add some honey if necessary.

Pour the purple mass and the kefir alternately into a tall glass. This way you get a great marbled effect. You can of course also just add the kefir to the blueberries in the blender for a purple smoothie.

Garnish with another leaf of mint and drink immediately.
