FritzApp Smart Home: control devices conveniently

The new FritzApp Smart Home gives you an overview of your Smart Home devices from AVM and controls them with just a few taps.

The range of smart home devices from AVM is growing all the time. In addition to the intelligent Fritz DECT 200 and 210 sockets, there are the small Fritz DECT 400 and 440 buttons, the Fritz DECT 500 LED lamp and the Fritz DECT 301 radiator controller. There are also compatible devices such as the roller shutter control from Becker and various Magenta Smart Home devices from Telekom.

If the devices are connected via DECT to a Fritzbox running Fritz-OS version 7.10 or higher, the devices can be controlled using the FritzApp Smart Home. The app is available for Android devices as well as iPhone and iPad. Installation in the Google Play Store or App Store is quick and easy.

First start and connect to the Fritzbox in the home network

When the app is started for the first time, compatible Fritzboxes are searched for and listed in the home network. Select the Fritzbox that controls your smart home devices. Log in with your password and, if necessary, with your user name. After that you will see the tile view of the app. You can easily arrange the individual tiles according to your personal requirements: Simply place your finger on a tile until it comes loose and move it to the desired position.

Do you want to access the home network and control the smart home devices while you are out and about? Then call up the settings of the app via the three-point menu in the top right corner. Activate the option “Use while on the move”. For this to work, the MyFritz service must be activated and set up on the Fritzbox.

Display the current device status and control functions

For example, you can set the heating temperature at the touch of a finger via Fritz DECT 301.

There are many control options: For example, you can manually switch on the coffee machine in the kitchen outside of the schedules. Or you can dim the Fritz DECT 500 LED lamp from the couch using the app. You can just as easily adjust the temperature of the heating using the Fritz DECT 301 radiator controller. Here you can use a quick selection and, for example, switch to the maximum temperature when you are out and about so that you can expect a cozy, warm apartment when you return.

Note:

As before, you register new smart home devices directly on the Fritzbox – the app cannot do that. You can also configure heating plans for the Fritz DECT 301, automatic circuits as well as templates and groups via the user interface of your Fritzbox.
