Delayed due to Covid-19, the two GMC Hummer EV electric monsters reveal their silhouettes and their agenda.
It is through a video that the American group wanted to communicate. If it takes the theme of the Superbowl and Lebron James, the dates of the official presentation have now changed. The Hummers premiered in fall 2020, a delay of several months.
To keep people patient, the automaker reveals a quick view of the construction of a prototype and shows the structure of one of the two models. The first will be a 100% electric pickup, with a Jeep Wrangler-style sunroof. It is further illustrated with a partial profile view.
The GMC Hummer EV confirms that it will look nothing like a GMC Sierra, its thermal counterpart. Fitting large off-road tires, increasing ground clearance and favoring space on board rather than cargo, the Hummer will be unique. It will be followed by an SUV, taking the silhouette of the old H3, but rounding off the angles.
GM will open reservations for these $ 1,000 horsepower electric vehicles this fall. The first deliveries will take place in the fall of 2021, only in North America. At this stage, the prices are not indicated.
