With the One UI Watch 4.5 update, Samsung is releasing new features for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
New features for Samsung’s smartwatches.
Samsung announced an update to its One UI Watch wearable user interface this week. One UI Watch is scheduled for release in Q3 2022 in version 4.5 for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
Full keyboard on smartwatch display
One of the innovations in One UI Watch 4.5 is a full QWERTY keyboard with swipe-to-type support. The user interface enables seamless switching between different input methods such as the keyboard and dictation. One UI Watch 4.5 also makes calling easier with dual SIM support. Users can simply set their preferred SIM card on their Galaxy smartphone and then automatically sync it to their Galaxy Watch. The user interface on the smartwatch always shows which SIM card is currently being used. A change is possible at any time.
New accessibility features
The new version of the user interface also offers new customization options for watch faces. Here users can now set not only different colors but also the complications in their favorite dials. The most frequently used clock faces are saved in the favorites list and thus enable quick access. Also new in One UI Watch 4.5 are additional accessibility features. For visual support, a preferred color tone can be set and the contrast can be increased. It is also possible to remove blur effects and animations. Samsung has also expanded the user interface with acoustic adjustment options and settings for touch operation.
