For months, life in Germany has been severely restricted: meetings with friends are only allowed to a limited extent, restaurants and shops are closed, and students have to stay at home. Restrictions that are considered necessary in view of the high number of infections, but which also represent a burden for millions of Germans.

NewsABC.net asked the polling institute Civey which restrictions in the pandemic that have been decided so far are personally most serious to Germans. The result of the representative survey: Above all, avoiding social contacts is perceived as a burden (27.3 percent), closely followed by closed restaurants and shops (21.7 percent). Closed schools and daycare centers or travel restrictions are also mentioned many times.

Note: Specific questions, the number of respondents and the respective error tolerance can be found in the corresponding graphics. The current survey on restrictions is representative.
