The 32-year-old Greek was introduced to the press on Tuesday.

Giorgos Petrakis succeeds Marcus Weiss. The German coach took over the Eschoise team at the start of the season. The defeat in the last match, at Rodange, was fatal. It was the Bianconeri’s second setback since the start of the competition. Out of solidarity with the coach, the staff also took a step back.

Giorgos Petrakis will be assisted by Dinis de Sousa back in his role of deputy which he had already occupied under Sébastien Grandjean. Arnold Mauragas (technical assistant), Rui Lomar (physical preparation), Joël da Natividade (physiotherapist) and Patrick Peters (doctor) complete the technical staff.

Marcus Weiss will no longer gesticulate on the Eschois bench. Its management has decided to dispense with its services.

Big sweep the day after the setback in Rodange. Youth unloads all its staff. To further professionalize the function says the club.

“I want to find the right balance between quality football and results. It will go through work. I have already seen a lot of matches in the last few hours and I know it will be complicated because there is quality in this championship, ”said the Greek coach.

Carzaniga approached at length

The priority of the Youth Committee was to find a trainer with the flavor of the BGL League. Free since his departure from Differdange in April 2018, Pascal Carzaniga has been consulted at length. The French coach probed his loyal assistant David Zitelli but ultimately turned down the job.

The Youth has been looking for a balance since Marc Thomé’s passage from March 2017 to April 2019. The club has since “consumed” three coaches.
