Cyberpunk is trendy, not just since … um, Cyberpunk 2077. Daedalic Entertainment and developer Dark Lord have it today Glitch punk announced that not only looks like a GTA 2 with cyberpunk optics, but is also something like that. A playable demo will appear on Steam on February 3rd, but it will only be available during the Steam Festival until February 9th. The release of the full version is planned for 2021.
In a top-down perspective, you shoot, beat and sneak your way through the neon world. You slip into the role of a malfunctioning android that can rebel against its programming and take on the tyrannical government.
But glitchpunk isn’t just about blowing things up. The game also covers topics such as transhumanism, xenophobia, and religion. Players can influence the world around them, make new friends, mess with more enemies than they can count – and maybe even find love.
