13 days before the end of the Kickstarter campaign was allowed to Fata Deum call already “successfully financed”. The project, which originated in Germany, attracted more than 1,450 supporters in April, who together contributed almost 60,000 euros. Now a few months have passed again and now you can wishlist Fata Deum on Steam and look forward to the Early Access start, which developer 42 Bits Entertainment has announced for spring 2021.
Anyone of you who has ever come into contact with the god game genre – for me it was “Black & White” from Lionhead Studios for the first time about 20 years ago – will probably feel an excited tingling sensation from the trailer.
Fata Deum began as a one-man show
Like so many projects, Fata Deum started out as a one-man show. To date, however, 10 people are already working on the game, who together have more than 40 years of industry experience and more than 15 completed games. The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW has already supported the project with 140,000 euros.
Fata Deum offers a single player experience. You are a god – of course. And you have to deal with four completely different AI gods. How you act is of course up to you, depending on the genre. Can you gather more people behind you than the other gods?
