Government is going to test CoronaCheck app this weekend and this is how it works

As if you were in your own Who is the mole sits. Green screen? Then you can stay or continue. Do you get a red screen? Three guesses…

A new government corona app, with which people can demonstrate that they have recently been tested negative for the corona virus, will be tested for the first time this weekend. This is done at two test festivals in Biddinghuizen. The Ministry of Health has announced this.

Each festival has about 1,500 visitors, who must be tested for the corona virus in advance. Anyone who will soon download the CoronaCheck app can request their test result via the app from the institution where they have had themselves tested. After the request, you will be sent a code to the mobile phone number that you provided during testing.

After receiving that code, the app creates a QR code. You can show this QR code at the door of the festival (or soon at a sports match or, for example, a café). The security guard or host on the other hand can scan the QR code via their own app. That produces a green or a red screen.

Red Green

With a green screen, the security guard knows that he is admitting someone who has been tested negative in the past 48 hours. There is no certainty about a red screen.

Test moment

In addition, a new random QR code is created at each test moment. That should make it more difficult to follow people and thus protect privacy. In addition, the app contains measures to prevent people from trying to enter somewhere with someone else’s negative test.

The Ministry of Health is working on a law that will make the test app more widely possible. The app will eventually have to process tests from GGD test streets as well as from commercial test locations.

The test festivals are part of the series of so-called FieldLabs, where events are held to test how they go in corona time. This happened earlier, among other things, at a performance by cabaret artist Guido Weijers, where Subway guinea pig was allowed to play, and at a game of football clubs NEC and De Graafschap.

Many questions CoronaCheck

The app immediately raises a lot of questions, according to Twitter.

The style is also widely discussed.
