It has the advantage of being able to be stored at −20 ° C, compared with −70 ° C for that of Pfizer-BioNTech, the only vaccine against covid-19 until then authorized in Europe.

According to their laboratories, the two vaccines have similar rates of effectiveness. Namely, 95% and 94.1% respectively for Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. With a cost of 14.68 euros per unit, the serum developed by the American laboratory nevertheless remains the most expensive.
