For three months, the Chinese billionaire Jack Ma withdrew from the public because the Chinese government was taking action against his business. His only public appearance was a 50-second video appearance in late January addressing teachers from rural areas across China. However, according to a report from Bloomberg, the founder of Alibaba and the Ant Group has been playing golf at Sun Valley Golf Resort in Hainan for the past few weeks.

The upscale resort includes a 27-hole golf course, clubhouse, and restaurant. Such clubs are not difficult to find in Hainan, an island province in southern China. Hainan is known as “the Hawaii of China” for its tropical climate, luxurious beach resorts and golf courses. Surfing, luxury shopping and yachting are popular activities in Sanya, Hainan’s largest tourist city. We’ll show you what a vacation in Hainan would look like.
