The rivalry between the Hogwarts houses of Slytherin (Slytherin) and Gryffindor (Gryffindor) runs deep. That has Harry Potteractor Tom Felton once again made it clear. His character Draco Malfoy was a purebred Slytherin, and so was the actor.
For ten years, actor Tom Felton played the young Draco Malfoy. He was one of the “enemies” of the most famous sorcerer’s apprentice ever, Harry Potter. And even though the franchise has been around for almost ten years now, that rivalry is still there.
“Gryffindor 0 – Slytherin 1”
For example, Felton shared on Instagram photos of the moment when his character Draco had defeated his “rival” Harry Potter. It comes out for a moment Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film in the series. The photos were captioned (in emojis): “Gryffindor 0 – Slytherin 1”.
The photos Tom Felton shared were taken shortly after Draco discovered Harry spying on him from under his invisibility cloak. Draco paralyzed Harry with a spell and kicks him in the face.
19 hours and 40 minutes
Observant Harry Potterfans have recently made a striking discovery about Tom Felton’s character. Draco Malfoy, nevertheless a well-known and important character in the films, can be seen in a total of just 31 minutes and 30 seconds in eight films. Those eight films together last no less than 19 hours and 40 minutes.
And originally a few more minutes would be added to that. Because the first movie in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, would actually take 170 minutes (or 2 hours and 50 minutes). In the end, the film was shortened by 18 minutes, so it lasted 152 minutes.
