The Formentor is the first completely self-developed car from Seat’s sports brand Cupra. With its aggressive design and copper-colored accents (distinctive features of all Cupra models), the SUV really looks good. The Formentor is now also available as a plug-in hybrid, which Cupra calls e-Hybrid. However, electrification does not make it look any tamer. It only stands out from its siblings without an electric motor through the four indicated, angular tailpipes in a copper look. There are special displays for the digital cockpit that focus, for example, on the remaining electric range. Depending on the power, this is up to 59 kilometers according to WLTP, supplied by a 12.8 kWh battery. The Formentor with plug is available in two power levels: 204 or 245 hp. The electric motor with 115 hp is always the same, only the output of the 1.4 liter gasoline engine varies. However, with a base price of just over 40,000 euros, the Formentor e-Hybrid is not exactly cheap. At carwow.de, however, there is currently a lot of discount: A saving of up to 12,869 euros is possible (As of October 1, 2021). The highest discount is available on the stronger model with the “VZ” equipment. In addition to 41 hp more power, 19-inch rims and an adaptive chassis are standard on board. The interior is home to the larger infotainment screen (12 inches), and the driver and front passenger sit on bucket seats. The more powerful Formentor e-Hybrid costs 44,120 euros according to the price list. At carwow.de there is – in addition to the environmental bonus – a Savings of up to 5691 euros in it (Attention, the transfer costs reduce the discount by a few hundred euros). The discount on the basic variant of the plug-in hybrid is almost at the same level. For the slightly weaker version, the RRP is 40,780 euros. Here at carwow.de, including the environmental bonus, you can save up to 11,639 euros, because the car is available from 29,141 euros. Here, too, the equipment is already pretty good, for example there are 18-inch models, tinted windows, sports seats and sports steering wheel as well as full-LED headlights with high-beam assistant ex works.
