At BMW, the 5 Series stands for the perfect balance between sportiness and comfort in the upper middle class. As a station wagon, there is also increased everyday use: The trunk volume is 570 liters, with the rear seat bench folded down, up to 1700 liters fit in. The rear window can be opened separately if you only want to pack smaller items in the luggage compartment. The interior of the 5 Series is classic, instead of a widescreen cockpit there is a display behind the steering wheel and one on the dashboard. Both have a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches each. Since the facelift at the end of 2021, the current generation (G31) has always been equipped with a 48-volt system and thus a mild hybrid. The 11.2 kWh battery enables a range of up to 53 kilometers according to WLTP. Of course, there is also a discount on the other engines and equipment. For example, with the popular 520 d in the Luxury Line equipment. The 190-hp diesel is supported by a 48-volt system, brings it to 400 Nm and drives the rear wheels. The Luxury Line also has its own aprons, but with chrome accents for a more elegant look. Inside, a leather interior and a leatherette cover for the instrument panel are part of the standard equipment. The 520d is in the price list as a Luxury Line from 59,350 euros, at it is available from 49.88 euros – which saves up to 9562 euros. There is a little less discount at the base. Then the 5 Series Touring is equipped with a 184 hp petrol engine and offers amenities such as LED headlights, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat or a parking beeper. The price is normally 52,900 euros, at it is available from 44,467 euros.
