Of course, they are optical Basic ingredients of every N-model set: darkened Hyundai emblems, N logos and red decorative stripes on the aprons and above the sills. In addition, on the sportiest Ioniq 5, the area under the headlights and the black element in between should be blackened. This creates a larger black area that tapers to a point at the bottom.

Ioniq 5 should get its own aprons

We expect a new apron underneath. Unlike the regular model, it could actually have air inlets – in the classic way in the middle and on the sides. In the lower area of the doors, the look of the side air inlets, which probably consist of a few narrow slits, could be resumed by a decor. At the rear, a slightly larger spoiler and a new apron with diffuser should not surprise anyone. The only question is whether the typical triangular third brake light that we know from the i30 N and Kona N can also be found there. Because the light elements of the Ioniq 5 are actually always square. However, what is considered to be set: Lightweight rims and larger brakes as well as sports seats and a lot of black in the interior.

Probably with the drive of the Kia EV6 GT

As far as the engine is concerned, Hyundai is likely to use it on the corporate shelf. The sister model Kia EV6 will also be available as a GT, and here the performance data are already communicated: Two electric motors generate 585 hp (430 kW) and 740 Nm, which are delivered to all four wheels. Kia is aiming for a sprint from zero to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds, the end is at 260 km / h – sounds like the perfect drive for the Ioniq 5 N. But it will probably have a little less power, according to rumors it is around 570 hp. The reason for this is that the large battery at Hyundai with 72.6 kW can store a little less electricity than the 77.4 kW variant from Kia. So that the performance is not too much at the expense of the range, the Ioniq 5 is probably slowed down a bit, as you can already see in the comparison of the currently strongest models. The Kia EV6 has two engines producing 325 hp, while the Hyundai has 305 hp. Even with a respectable margin of a few horsepower, the Ioniq 5 N should by no means be underpowered. It is not yet clear when it will be launched. How To Cars expects that it will as early as 2022 could be so far.
