In the future, Aeroflot will only fly with Airbus aircraft

The Russian Aeroflot Group is to be completely rebuilt by 2028.

As Russian Aviation Insider would like to know, the core airline Aeroflot is to be turned upside down. The Russian carrier is said to be one of the world’s leading airlines and operate a purely Airbus fleet by 2028.

The focus is to be placed on international business, which is why the majority of A350 aircraft are to be purchased. If around 240 planes are in use today, 65 planes should either be completely sorted out or handed over to the subsidiaries by then. According to the report, the cheap subsidiary Pobeda should also benefit from the plan. The aim is to more than triple the fleet of the low-cost carrier. Ticket prices are also expected to fall further.
