According to a report, eight rotations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates are planned for October.
After the first (special) passenger flight from Israel to the United Arab Emirates was carried out just a few days ago with great media coverage (AviationNetOnline reported), Israir now wants to be the first airline to operate regular scheduled flights between Tel Aviv and Dubai. As reported by Reuters, the carrier applied for approval for a total of eight rotations in October. According to the article, the national airline EL AL has only planned freight connections to the United Arab Emirates according to the current status.
The start of (official) diplomatic relations between the two countries, which was only announced in August, is already showing the first consequences: As Reuters also reports, numerous business deals have already been concluded between companies from Israel and the Emirates – the corresponding volume is estimated at four billion in the coming years U.S. dollar.
Israir is the third largest Israeli airline after EL AL and Arkia and currently operates a fleet of four Airbus A320s and three ATR 72-500s.
