Jean-Claude Van Damme has officially won his first Netflix movie. In the action comedy The Last Mercenary he plays a mysterious former secret agent who must return to France when his son is falsely accused of arms and drug trafficking by the government after a blunder from an overzealous bureaucrat and mafia operation.
The French-language film is directed by David Charhon, best known for The l’autre côté du périph. The screenplay is written by Charhon and Ismael Sy Savane. Production is in the hands of Jean-Charles Levy and Nicolas Manuel (Forecast Pictures), Olivier Albou and Laurence Schonberg (Other Angle Pictures), David Charhon, Jakéma Charhon and Eponine Maillet (Mony Films) and Olias Barco and Vlad Riashyn (Apple Tree ).
Next The Muscles from Brussels the cast includes Leban Ivanov, Assa Sylla, Samir Decazza, Patrick Timsit, Eric Judor and Miou-Miou. The recordings are currently in full swing in France.
First Netflix movie
