The new CEO of SBS (the company above TV channels Vier, Vijf, Zes and njam, among others) will remain part of Telenet’s senior leadership team and will report to CEO John Porter.
It will be Bronselaer’s task to further expand and strengthen SBS. In addition, he will also represent Telenet in the media and entertainment companies in which Telenet has an interest, such as De Vijver Media, Pebble Media, Streamz and The Park.
“I am happy that Jeroen Bronselaer wants to take on this responsibility,” says John Porter. “Jeroen will use his extensive experience to take our entertainment activities to an even higher level.”
Bronselaer’s duties as person ultimately responsible for the residential business will be taken over by Dieter Nieuwdorp. The further development of BASE ends up with Patrick Vincent.
Quaqhebeur led SBS Belgium since 2016. At the end of August, it became known that he was transferring to Mediafin, publisher of business newspapers De Tijd and L’Echo. There he succeeded Frederik Delaplace, who now heads the VRT.
