Koei Tecmo secures Atelier Online in Europe and Canada

Do you remember the smartphone game? Atelier Online? The mobile game was released in Japan in October 2018 and was developed by NHN PlayArt and Gust. It is free-to-play and financed through microtransactions.

Is Atelier Online coming to the West?

There are now initial indications that this offshoot could also make it to the West. Koei Tecmo has secured the naming rights to Atelier Online in Europe and Canada. The English logo with the official title Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bressisle can already be seen. This is not yet an official localization announcement, but the plans seem to be quite concrete.

The game follows the classic Atelier formula in terms of world and game mechanics and should be as pleasant to play as possible. Thanks to the network support – in contrast to earlier parts – you can go on adventures and cooperate with other players. The choice is up to the player, whether you prefer to go alone or with friends.

Atelier Online also relies on a dynamic time window: Depending on the time of day, season and weather, you meet different monsters and the environment adapts to the circumstances. Collectibles are also distributed all over the world, which can be combined with other objects to create new items thanks to the alchemy system. Of course, there are also many familiar faces from the Atelier series.
