Football: Kuipers and Makkelie to France in Champions League

07.51 am: Dutch referees Björn Kuipers and Danny Makkelie both whistle a match in the Champions League in France on Tuesday. Kuipers is in charge of the game between Stade Rennes and Chelsea, which starts at 6.55 pm in Roazhon Park. Makkelie gives the first whistle at 9 p.m. in the Parc des Princes at the match Paris Saint-Germain – RB Leipzig.

PSG and Leipzig faced each other in the semi-finals of the Champions League last season. The French champion defeated the German club in Lisbon 3-0 and reached the final, in which Bayern Munich was too strong (0-1).

The star team from the French capital has started the group stage poorly, with two defeats and only one victory. Three weeks ago PSG lost 2-1 in Germany to Leipzig, which has 6 points and therefore leads the group together with Manchester United.

Chelsea, the club of former Ajax player Hakim Ziyech, among others, already has 7 points in group E. Rennes only took 1 point. At the beginning of this month, Chelsea won 3-0 against the French team at Stamford Bridge.
