The fact that Hyundai understands what is important when it comes to electric cars should have been clear since the Kona Electric at the latest. The current electric top model of the electric sub-brand Ioniq, the Ioniq 5, even leaves the German competition behind in comparative tests. On the one hand, this is of course due to the everyday range of the Stromer, on the other hand, it is due to the sensible equipment at a comparatively low price. The basic model with a 125 kW electric motor and rear-wheel drive is available for EUR 43,900 (not including the environmental premium). The 58 kWh battery ensures a maximum range of 384 km (WLTP). In leasing, the e-Korean is sometimes even cheaper!
At sparneuwagen.de (cooperation partner of AUTO BILD), business customers can lease the 125 kW version of the Ioniq 5 for EUR 226.05 net per month – and thus save a lot of money compared to the regular purchase.
Beware of the special payment
As is usual with most leasing offers with all-electric models, there is also a one-off special payment in the amount of the environmental premium, which is reimbursed if the application is submitted correctly and in good time to the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) – the customer only has to advance the money. After the federal government recently announced that the subsidy will drop from 6,000 to 4,000 euros from 2023, those interested in leasing should definitely discuss the exact modalities before signing the contract. Because the sample rates were still calculated on the basis of the higher funding. (maintenance costs to calculate? To the car insurance comparison!)
Ioniq 5 with variable conditions
The low leasing rate of 226.05 euros net is linked to a contract period of 36 months, which includes only 5000 kilometers per year. If these parameters do not suit you, you can reduce the term to 24 months and increase the annual mileage in 5000 km increments to up to 20,000 kilometers per year. Of course, changes have a major impact on the final leasing rate.
The available Ioniq 5 models are order vehicles with basic equipment. Since only the engine variant is specified here, further details can be changed at any time and the Ioniq can be significantly upgraded, for example, with the Techniq package, which costs 7300 euros. But even without extras that require a surcharge, the E-SUV is impressive. Even in the basic version, full-LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a navigation system with a 12.25-inch touchscreen and a heated leather steering wheel come as standard.
The final total lease cost depends on a number of factors. In the best-case scenario, with a 36-month term and a total of 15,000 free kilometres, the costs amount to EUR 8969.73 net (36 times EUR 226.05 plus EUR 831.93) including one-off transfer costs.
The provider does not give an exact delivery date, but the Ioniq 5 should be with the customer in the second quarter of 2023 at the latest. This corresponds to a delivery time of at least eight months. According to sparneuwagen.de, the offer may no longer be available at short notice due to high demand.
