Expected from March within the Leclerc store network, Dacia’s low-cost electric city car will be available for rental at an unbeatable price.
Committed from Renault to acquire for its rental service 4,000 electric cars, Renault ZOEs and Dacia Springs, Leclerc gives for the first time an idea of the prices of its new electric offer.
“In March-April, depending on Renault’s capacity to supply us, we will market the cheapest electric car on the rental market. It will be 5 euros for the daily rental, including the mileage, in general this is around 7 euros » said Michel-Edouard Leclerc, guest of Jean-Jacques Bourdin this Thursday morning on BFMTV.
Dacia’s small electric car will therefore be a little more expensive than the Twingo, advertised at € 4 / day on the Leclerc Location website. The Spring should however do well with mileage rates lower than those offered by the lessor on its thermal models. In the case of a gasoline Twingo, Leclerc charges € 0.17 / km in addition to the daily rate, i.e. € 17/100 km. If it has not been specified, the one applied to the Spring should be logically lower.
The cheapest electricity offer on the market
Produced in China and marketed by Dacia, the Spring will be the cheapest electric car from the Renault group. Powered by a 44 horsepower electric motor, it will offer nearly 300 km of autonomy in the urban cycle.
If its price has not yet been formalized in France, it should turn around € 15,000 excluding ecological bonus.
