LG unveils largest OLED TV of all time – it’s that huge

The manufacturer LG presents the currently largest OLED television. It has a screen diagonal of 97 inches!

At the IFA 2022 in Berlin (from September 2nd to 6th, 2022), LG Electronics is showing what it claims to be the “biggest OLED television of all time”: The
LG OLED evo TV G2
with a
Screen diagonals of 97 inches, i.e. almost 246 centimeters
. The LG 2022 OLED TV family will be available in 42″, 48″, 55″, 65″, 77″, 83″, 88″ and 97″ inch sizes.
The 97-inch LG OLED evo TV G2 uses the Alpha 9 Gen5 AI processor. The manufacturer promises “advanced image algorithms” for “lifelike images” that should deliver an “impressive cinematic experience” at home. LG does not reveal a specific price for the 97-inch model. It only means that the TV will probably be available in Germany from the end of the year.

136-inch TV will also be presented at the IFA
But it’s also possible to go one size bigger: LG will also be presenting a 136-inch micro-LED TV with 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) at the IFA. In addition, the 8K TV LG Signature OLED 8K 88Z2 and the 86 inch QNED TV. These two models support the 8K resolution with 7,680 x 4,320 pixels.
“With over 33 million self-illuminating pixels, the 88Z2 offers amazing detail, deep, dark blacks, infinite contrast and true-to-life colors that are maintained across a wide viewing angle,” explains LG. The 86-inch QNED TV, on the other hand, is equipped with LG Qunatum Dot NanoCell technology.
