With the match between FC Twente and Feyenoord, the football Sunday immediately started with a spectacular game at 12.15. After a quick 2-0 lead for FC Twente, the match ended in 2-2. Heerenveen and Groningen then played a draw (1-1) and RKC easily settled with Heracles Almelo: 3-0
At 4.45 pm it is PSV’s turn, which wants to make up for the European defeat of last Thursday against the troubling Vitesse. Leader Ajax receives a visit from Sparta in the last match of this round. The kick-off starts at 8 p.m. in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
AZ sets the tone
AZ had little trouble with VVV on Saturday evening in Venlo and went back to Alkmaar with a 1-4 victory in their pocket. With the victory, AZ keeps the important second place in the Eredivisie in its sights. The team of coach Pascal Jansen narrowed the deficit against PSV to one point.
Fortuna Sittard managed to win against ADO Den Haag in the last game on Saturday evening. Lisandro Semedo and Sebastian Polter gave the Limburg team a 2-0 victory. Earlier FC Emmen put a line under a negative series. Dick Lukkien’s formation made the first win of the season: PEC Zwolle was beaten 3-2 and that cost trainer John Stegeman his job later in the day. On Friday FC Utrecht already hit hard on a visit to Willem II: 6-0.
