The new series “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” describes the events of the so-called second age. In the new series, you learn how the eponymous rings were forged in the first place and then distributed among the peoples of Middle-earth. Of course, the series should not only tell about the forging of the rings, but also about the rise of the dark ruler Sauron and the history of Numenor and the last alliance of elves and humans.

New “Lord of the Rings” series: start date on Amazon Prime Video has been set
Curious is the crafting of the title, which Amazon describes as follows: “Like many elements of the series were handcrafted themselves, Prime Video chose to forge the title in a forge, pouring fiery molten metal into hand-carved wooden canyons that create the… match letterforms. The process was recorded in slow motion for live video, speaking lines from Tolkien’s famous ‘Ring Verse’ describing the recipients of the 20 Rings of Power. The bespoke title design is crafted from silvery metal and features Elvish characters engraved along the top of each letterform.”
