2K celebrates 20 years of mafia. To celebrate the anniversary of the Mafia series of games, you can get the original title for free on Steam for five days.
The game development studio 2K Games is celebrating 20 years of its “Mafia” series. For this event, players can secure the Ur-Mafia from September 1st to 5th free of charge on the Steam gaming platform.
Mafia free on Steam starting September 1st
The series now includes three parts and definitive editions for all titles. The series can also have a corresponding fan base. For many, the first part is still the favorite – and 2K Games is giving away exactly this for five days on Steam. The game normally costs €9.99 on the platform. And be careful, 2K is giving away the original version, not the Definitive Edition – this is still available until September 8th on a special offer for 13.99 euros on Steam.
Furthermore, there is a big Mafia developer interview and an anniversary trailer for the trilogy on the official website for the anniversary, which can also be bought for a short time with a 60 percent discount.
Mafia 4 already in planning
In the interview, the developers also leaked the work on a new mafia part, but publication is not planned for a few years:
“I’m delighted to officially announce that development work has begun on the new Mafia game! While the release is still several years away and we are unable to share any further details at this time, we can’t wait to continue the popular saga and to immerse our fans in new stories.”
