Mark Ruffalo plays Ryan Reynolds’ dad in ‘The Adam Project’

Good news for Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Reynolds fans. Because the two will soon be seen in a film about time races as father and son. In The Adam Project Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Garner and Catherine Keener will also star.

At 53, Mark Ruffalo is barely nine years older than Ryan Reynolds. And yet the two top actors will soon be playing father and son. The movie in which Ruffalo and Reynolds will be seen together is called The Adam Project.

Find Father

Ryan Reynolds takes the lead in the film. His character travels back in time to talk to the younger version of himself. In this way, Reynolds’ character tries to find his father. That father is a physicist played by Mark Ruffalo. Catherine Keener (Being John Malkovich) plays the villain in the The Adam Project.

It is not yet known what roles Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Garner will play. Ruffalo sees it in any case. “I’m already looking forward to being part of this impressive cast and commanding my son, Ryan Reynolds,” the actor wrote on Twitter.

Marvel

Currently, Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Reynolds are both in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that hasn’t been the case for so long. Ruffalo has played Marvel superhero Bruce Banner / Hulk for years. Reynolds rather plays an antihero, Deadpool.

That character actually belongs to Fox and had two solo films there. But Disney (which also owns Marvel) has bought Fox. Fans were afraid that would be Deadpool’s death blow, but nothing could be further from the truth. The third film in the series is in production at Marvel.

Connections

Ryan Reynolds isn’t alone The Adam Projectactor Mark Ruffalo has a connection with. In Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame Zoe Saldana also plays a role, that of Gamora. With Jennifer Garner he was on the set of 13 Going on 30 and with Catherine Keener he can be seen in Begin Again.

The Adam Project will be seen on Netflix. It is currently unknown when the film will be released.
