After the McDrives opened last week, McDonald’s will now also start home delivery from Friday. That can be read in their press release.
We first work with a simplified menu to limit the number of employees in the workplace as much as possible.
Thoroughly review procedures
As part of the corona measures, some things had to change in the sales process. For example, a McDonald’s employee will be at the entrance at all times, so that the couriers can easily do their work with respect for social distancing. The one and a half meters is marked with tape on the floor.
On arrival at the restaurant, the couriers must wash their hands with antibacterial gel that will always be available. Every employee must wear a mouth mask and hygienic gloves. In this way, the health and safety of employees, couriers and customers is guaranteed.
In four places
The McDelivery service will gradually start up in Ghent (Korenmarkt) and Antwerp (Teniersplaats and Groenplaats) from April 30, in Brussels (Elsene, Nieuwstraat, Bascule and Docks) from May 2 and in Liège (Opéra) from May 5. As with the drive-ins, McDelivery has new opening hours from 11am to 10pm (until 9.30pm in Ixelles).
McDonald’s, along with Quick and Burger King, closed its doors on March 18 because of the corona virus. It was also no longer possible to collect it, but McDonald’s drive-ins have been open again since April 21. It is not yet known when the restaurants will open again.
