Wherever you happen to be in the world: there is very likely a McDonald’s there. Because there are only a few countries in which the fast food chain has not yet been able to gain a foothold.
When I’ve been traveling in the past few months, I’ve made it my business to go to McDonald’s in every country. So I’ve been to various McDonald’s restaurants in South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia.
I tried a total of 24 different dishes that you can’t buy in my home country, the USA. This included, for example, a chicken sandwich with mozzarella and a green McDip ice cream. This is how I found out how McDonald’s in each country includes local specialties in its menu and thus ensures that the restaurant never runs out of customers.
