Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas are among the golfers who take to the course in red and black during the final round of the World Golf Championship (WGC) in Florida on Sunday. In doing so, they support Tiger Woods, who is in hospital after a serious traffic accident. Widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time, the American always wears a red shirt and black pants on the final day of tournaments.
Woods is still at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after sustaining open fractures to his right leg and a shattered ankle in the unilateral accident, which involved multiple rollovers. The 45-year-old golfer is doing well under the circumstances, were the latest reports.
Collin Morikawa, who is in charge of the tournament in Bradenton, will also be on the course in red and black on Sunday, Golf Channel reports. Ten-time major winner Annika Sörenstam, who plays her first LPGA tournament in thirteen years in Orlando, has also announced that she will be wearing the colors of golf icon Woods.
