As part of the Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft has announced a free update for its “Microsoft Flight Simulator”. The 40th Anniversary Edition celebrates the 40th anniversary of Microsoft’s oldest gaming franchise. The edition will be available for download from November as a free update for the PC and Xbox versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Classics and new arrivals
The update includes, among other things, classic airports and well-known aircraft from “Microsoft Flight Simulator X” and “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004”. Gliders are also on board. The “40th Anniversary Edition” will include the following new additions:

While players will have to wait until November for the historic newcomers and gliders, the futuristic Pelican from “Halo Infinite” is now available. Developed in partnership with 343 Industries, the update is available for both PC and Xbox owners.
