Microsoft has now made an official announcement from the leak: The prices for “Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family” have been set. Accordingly, Microsoft wants to charge 21.99 euros per month in Ireland for “Game Pass Friends & Family”. In Germany, the new Xbox Game Pass offer will probably also cost 21.99 euros.
Microsoft is currently only testing the new “Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan” in Ireland and Colombia, as the US IT news site The Verge writes (previously, players from these two countries could only test the new subscription if they were Xbox Insiders -testers were ). With the new Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription, Xbox Game Pass users can play Xbox games together with up to four other friends or family members. It is also clear that the new subscription is not an offer limited to family members. However, the prerequisite is that all members of a subscription live in the same country.
“Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family” includes the scope of Ultimate with EA Play and Xbox Live Gold etc. You can use it to play on the Xbox One/Series and on the PC (Windows 10/11) and stream selected games via the cloud. Each of the five members then has their own user account and their own Xbox profile.
Existing subscriptions can be upgraded
Existing Game Pass subscriptions can be upgraded to Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family. If Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users choose to upgrade, these terms apply:
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs EUR 12.99 per month for one player in Germany. The first month costs only 1 euro.
