Mobile phone postage: buy postage stamps with the Post app on your smartphone

Postage stamps have long been available to buy online and print out at home. This is useful when you don’t have a stamp on hand and the branch is already closed and / or too far away. You can do the same with your smartphone, even when you’re on the go and without a printer.

This is how it works: Please first install the “Post & DHL” app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store on your mobile phone. Use the “Send” function to select the appropriate postage for your shipment and, in the next step, the option “as a code for labeling”.

Buying stamps is done quickly with the smartphone app. Postage is paid via PayPal, for example

The method for quick franking on the go without a postage stamp. At the end you will receive a postage code valid for 14 days after successful payment. This consists of #PORTO and an eight-digit string. Then write this two-line code on the top right of the letter or postcard. We recommend using a dark ballpoint pen or a fine felt-tip pen. In addition to purchasing postage stamps, the Post app helps you find a branch and shows the status of sent items. You can also use the app to pick up the shipments delivered to a packing station.
