It’s not entirely clear what prompted the makers at Mobilvetta to give their new van the name Admiral. Opel once named models after naval ranks: cadet, admiral, captain. But that was a few decades ago.
So let’s try the vehicle approach. Ultimately, Mobilvetta also decided not to let the potential of the van class lie idle.
From this season, the result shines in the model range of the traditional Italian brand, which always places the theme of luxury and design at the top. A constant role model: modern yacht building.
The seat also offers storage space under its upholstery and behind a flap on the side.
This is the Mobilvetta Admiral
A Ducato. Mobilvetta uses the proven Fiat basis here, which also follows an inner logic for an Italian manufacturer. Incidentally, the modern factory where the Admiral is made is right next to the Ducato factory in southern Italy.
This is also where the vans from Eura Mobil roll off the assembly line – no wonder, since both brands belong to the large French Trigano Group. Mobilvetta can therefore already offer a small range when the new van families are launched.
It starts with the K 5.1 (from 63,390 euros), a six-meter car and transverse bed. The two 6.36 meter long models K 6.3 and K 6.5 differ mainly at the rear.
Mobilvetta not only pays attention to design, but also attaches great importance to high-quality workmanship of the furniture.
The K 6.3 offers two single beds that can be connected, while the K 6.5 is surprisingly practical because its fold-down bed disappears under the roof, which opens up maximum loading space underneath – for heavy e-bikes or other equipment.
The Admiral also comes in plain white as standard. But if you like it fancier, you can choose from four shades of gray for the paintwork alone – Expedition, Lanzarote, Iron or Aluminum.
Black is also available as shown in the photos. The dark tone goes very well with the exclusive appearance of the Admiral. Even if it is rather an impractical choice in the summer heat.
The Admiral offers only two flames instead of three, which does not have to be a disadvantage in practice. The sliding cover over the kitchen sink is practical.
The Mobilvetta has that
Luxury, lots of luxury, as Mobilvetta not only emphasizes but also shows everywhere. The chrome flashes and shines, even if it’s just foil here and there. High-gloss wood meets cream tones and matt grey, the workmanship is of high quality and careful.
The upholstered window surrounds and ceiling panels also stand for this. This attention to detail is definitely visible, often also tangible. Mobilvetta also pays attention to excellent sleeping comfort in the van segment, which is ensured by memory foam mattresses and 3D plate frames. The lighting concept with many accents is also extremely harmonious.

In addition, the admiral is very practical. It offers a swivel wall in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink cover that can be slid sideways is also a clever idea.
For snow lovers, Mobilvetta offers the Admiral with an Arctic package. Then there is a diesel combination heater with 6 kW (standard: 4 kW) on board, the waste water tank is insulated, and there is suitable thermal insulation for the driver’s cab and windows.
At the wheel, the Admiral remains a Ducato. Mobilvetta delivers the large panoramic roof, air conditioning and a passenger airbag at no extra charge.
That’s how the admiral drives
Typical Ducato, which is not bad. As standard, Mobilvetta offers the 140 hp version, the two more powerful (160 hp and 180 hp) are available at an additional cost, as are the other delicacies such as a nine-speed automatic transmission or assistance packages. The processing in the test car, but still from the pre-series, convinced by solidity and calm.
