Monster Hunter Rise: Rare gold amiibo figures are very hard to come by

Do you remember the golden amiibo on Shovel Knight? The new golden amiibo too Monster Hunter Rise would do great next to it. However, it will be much more difficult to get hold of them. Incredibly difficult, actually. First you have to pre-order a download code for the game from the Japanese dealer 7-Eleven. That should be a hurdle for most of them, but that’s not enough. You end up in a lottery for the amiibo, so you need a lot of luck.

Over 200 amiibo figures have now been released and some of them are now very difficult to find and only overpriced. Some were even Japan-exclusive, others only part of dealer offers. There has also been a golden Mega Man, but only 10 times. In 2017, Capcom silver and gold amiibo to Monster Hunter Stories raffled, they exist only once.

There are now over 200 amiibo

The golden amiibo figure that you can get the most easily is the Shovel Knight mentioned at the beginning. At Amazon it is currently available for a little over 20 euros *, which is a bargain for rare amiibo. But there is even cheaper: Otto is currently selling the golden Shovel Knight * for 11.99 euros plus shipping costs. The latest regular amiibo are Banjo-Kazooie, Byleth and Terry Bogard.

You can find out here what content the three amiibo unlock for Monster Hunter Rise, namely Magnamalo, Palico and Palamute. Monster Hunter Rise is slated for Nintendo Switch on March 26th, 2021. A playable demo is available in the eShop until January 31, 2021. You can read our impressions of the demo here. You can get the standard version of the game from Amazon *. The Collector’s Edition is sold out in many places.
