With 109.7 million followers, 16-year-old Charli D’Amelio is still the most popular user on TikTok. But in the most recent episode of the podcast CHARLI AND DIXIE: 2 CHIX, which she hosts with her sister Dixie, talked about how she lost passion for the app.
Being the largest TikTokker does not only have advantages. It also puts you in the center of attention for people who send hate comments and puts constant pressure on you to keep doing better. Charli D’Amelio also notices this, who tells in her own podcast about how she lost the passion for TikTok.
In the most recent episode of CHARLI AND DIXIE: 2 CHIX Charli hosted the podcast on her own because her sister Dixie had other commitments. It turned out to be a candid show in which 16-year-old Charli showed why she has recently been less motivated to make films for TikTok.
“I wanted to talk about the content I create on TikTok,” says Charli. “It’s extremely difficult to keep posting on a platform where the people watching your videos don’t necessarily like or want to see you. That is why there are a lot of negative comments. And it is difficult to deal with that. It is because of this that I lost my passion for the app that used to be so much fun for me. ”
Finding love again
But Charli is now trying to get that passion back. “I know there are people who enjoy my videos and that’s why I never completely stopped posting. Because even if there are 10 million people who hate me, if I could help five people with anything, why bother what the people think who aren’t fans of me? ” So as long as Charli can keep inspiring people, she won’t stop making TikToks.
