Netflix is looking for participants for a Squid Game Challenge.
The Korean Netflix series “Squid Game” caused a worldwide sensation in autumn 2021 and is one of the most successful Netflix series to date. This week Netflix gave the green light for production of the second season. A short time later, Netflix has now announced that a
real squid game competition
will be carried out.
Squid Game: The Challenge is slated for production in early 2023. Netflix is currently looking for 456 people on the Squidgamecasting.com site who are allowed to take part in the competition. The prize money: 4.56 million US dollars, i.e. the equivalent of around 4.35 million euros. People from all over the world can apply.
Netflix assures: All participants survive!
Netflix describes the action as its largest social experiment to date. This “Oversized Unscripted Show” turns the “scripted world of drama into reality”. The participants will have to face many games. The goal: As in the series, there will be a single survivor who will receive a life-changing prize.
The good news: All participants of “Squid Game: The Challenge” will survive. This is also emphasized by Netflix. An asterisk is added to the term “sole survivor”. The notes then explain: “Whether you win or lose, all players are unharmed. But if you win, you win big!”
The conditions of participation in detail
The eligibility requirements for non-US and non-UK citizens state that applicants must be at least 21 years of age to participate in “Squid Game: The Challenge”. Applicants are expected to have up to four weeks in early 2023 to travel to Netflix’s specified location and enter the competition.
A 1-minute video is also expected in which the applicant explains why he/she wants to participate. Finally, in addition to personal information, the person must also send in various photos.
