As of November 1st, Thomas Heinrich will take over the management of Lufthansa Aviation Training Austria as Managing Director. He will continue to hold his current position as Head of Training Devices and Infrastructure. Heinrich succeeds Christian Korherr, who has been leading LAT Austria since 2008 and will then be retiring.
Only last year the location was increased from five devices to seven training devices as part of an investment package worth a double-digit million sum. The A320 training fleet is used to train pilots from Austrian Airlines and Eurowings Europe, among others. An expansion of the building in Vienna is also planned.
