The new Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 is a lightweight, foldable e-scooter from Segway. With the project on Kickstarter, the company claims to have worked on the design for more than six years.
Compared to Segway’s previous steps, the Air T15 is lighter and stronger using an aluminum-magnesium alloy. The scooter can be folded and transported as a rolling suitcase, so that it can easily be taken on public transport, for example. The scooter can reach a distance of 12 kilometers, with a maximum speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
For early buyers, the scooter costs around 520 euros. This gives you a 24 percent discount on the final price of around 685 euros. Two steps can be scored for just over a thousand euros. If you order in the first twelve hours of this Kickstarter, you will receive a free helmet.
Electric scooters currently remain illegal on public roads in the Netherlands. A petition to legalize electric scooters and e-skateboards has been signed more than 15,000 times.
