Disney + * is the new streaming giant that is a major competitor for Amazon Prime Video * and Netflix. Starting March 24th, 2020 we’ve been enjoying Disney classics, wonderful animated films from Pixar, superhero action from Marvel, space excitement from Star Wars and fantastic documentaries from National Geographic. In February 2021, new content will be added – here you can find out what it is.

What is Disney Plus content?

At Disney + * you will find some highlights from your childhood, but also brand new productions that will inspire you. Would you like some examples? “Aladdin”, “Vaiana”, “The Lion King”, “Finding Nemo”, “Toy Story”, “Captain Marvel”, “Black Panther”, “The Mandalorian”, “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, “Free Solo”, “Before the Flood” and “The Simpsons”.

That is changing with Disney Plus

Disney + * so far only shows content up to FSK 12, but the streaming service will mature in February 2021. Because on February 23, the new area for adults called Star will be launched. At the start of Star, more than 60 additional series, 270 films and four new originals will be available.

What does Disney Plus cost?

As with Amazon Prime Video * or Netflix, you can also take out a monthly subscription to Disney Plus. At Disney + you currently pay 6.99 euros per month. Alternatively, you can treat yourself to an annual subscription that saves you money, because it costs only 69.99 euros. Both variants are automatically extended if you do not cancel in advance (which of course goes online without any problems).

But be careful: The expansion of the Disney Plus range makes the service more expensive. Membership fees increase from 6.99 euros to 8.99 euros per month or from 69.99 euros to 89.90 euros for the annual subscription. So you better get the annual subscription for 69.99 euros! *
