New Pixar film already available on Disney+ – just 1.5 months after its theatrical release

On June 16, 2022, the new Disney / Pixar animated film “Lightyear” hit theaters. Just a few weeks later, the film is already available on Disney+ for all subscribers here.
Disney + offers the film in the “IMAX Enhanced” version and thus in 1.90:1 format for viewing. Compared to common standard formats, “IMAX Enhanced” offers up to 26 percent more of the original image, at least in selected scenes. Alternatively, “Lightyear” is also available in normal widescreen format. The desired variant can be selected under “Versions” at Disney +. “Lightyear” is a spin-of of the popular Toy Story series. The origin story is told by Buzz Lightyear, who later plays an important role in the Toy Story films as the legendary Space Ranger. The film has a length of 106 minutes and is suitable for viewers aged 6 and over.
