Nintendo didn’t want to work with Kanye West

Former Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime told a podcast at the end of the year how he simply turned down an offer to work with Kanye West. The famous hip-hop artist came to the Nintendo booth at the E3 game fair and asked to meet the boss, according to a report by Newsweek.

His wife Kim Kardashian-West was also present at the meeting, he says. Kanye West wanted to release a video game with Nintendo that he had an idea for. “I want to work with Nintendo,” he said. But Fils-Aime told him that Nintendo was a tough partner and that he certainly didn’t want that.

Rejection due to too many projects

In the podcast he told exactly how he rejected the famous hip-hop star, whom he couldn’t get rid of so easily.

“Oh yes, that’s exactly why I want Nintendo as a partner,” said Fils-Aime, who answered statements. It was an exciting conversation, said the ex-boss, but at this point Nintendo had a bunch of video games in the pipeline and the calendar was full to the top with projects.
