Nio ET7 (2022): Up to 1000 kilometers range for the limo

ET7 comes in early 2022
The Chinese Tesla competitor Nio has presented its first sedan. The ET7 should have an enormous range of up to 1000 kilometers and compete against Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan. The electric car can already be ordered using the Nio app. The market launch is planned for the beginning of 2022, prices start with the smallest 70 kWh battery in China at the equivalent of 56,500 euros. With us there should still be a premium. How high it will be is not yet known.
Up to 1000 kilometers range
The ET7 is powered by two electric motors, one at the front with 245 hp (180 kW) and one at the rear with 408 hp (300 kW). This results in a system output of 653 hp (480 kW) and 850 Nm. So the sedan is not underpowered. The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h should only take 3.9 seconds, the top speed is not yet known.
Nio offers different batteries. The smallest has a capacity of 70 kWh and should provide a range of 500 kilometers according to the NEDC. Above it is a 100 kWh battery that should be good for 700 kilometers. The spearhead is a 150 kWh battery, which offers an extremely long range of 1000 kilometers. In China, Nio continues to use battery exchange stations. There, empty batteries are exchanged for fully charged ones. However, the manufacturer does not yet reveal how long the batteries need to charge.
Reduced design
High resolution AMOLED screen
We already know the interior from the brand’s SUVs. As with the ES6 or ES8, it is very minimalistic here. The most striking element is the portrait screen on the center console, which measures 12.8 inches and features high-resolution AMOLED technology. Above this is a ball placed on the dashboard. This houses the virtual assistant Nomi. It processes voice commands and is equipped with artificial intelligence. A 10.2 inch digital cockpit and massage seats with heating and ventilation are standard, as is a 1000 KW sound system with 23 speakers.
ET7 can drive autonomously
The Nio ET7 is equipped with technology for autonomous driving. The car has 33 sensor units, which also include high-resolution cameras and ultrasonic sensors that are connected to a high-performance computer with Nvidia chips. The technology will be subject to a surcharge. In China, the complete package of all security and assistance functions is offered as a subscription, which costs the equivalent of 86 euros.
