After the trailer that was released a week ago Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, which is due to appear on PC Steam on February 5, 2021, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are now adding a fourteen 14-minute gameplay video in which a team member from the development studio was sitting at the gamepad himself.
Already in the first minute it becomes clear: With a blunt blow you won’t get far with Nioh 2. In order to have a chance in the bitter fights with demons and co., You not only have to know your weapon, but also keep an eye on the attitude of your character. In order to show how to do it right, the developers make short work of the disgruntled Minotaur. Skillful evasion, parrying with the yo-kai form and endurance management are essential components.
In the further course of the video it goes through a dark Japanese village. There the developers mainly present the two weapons that have been added to Nioh 2: the hatchets and the glaive. The crowning glory of the video is a spectacular boss fight. The identity of the overpowering opponent should not be revealed at this point for spoiler reasons.
That is what the PC version should offer
The new PC version of Nioh 2 promises 4K Ultra HD support, ultra widescreen compatibility, HDR and 144Hz monitor support as well as “super fluid, stable 120 FPS on systems designed for it” and the possibility of using a mouse and play keyboard or gamepad.
In addition to the main story, the three DLCs “The Student of Tengu”, “Darkness in the Capital” and “The First Samurai” will of course be included in the Complete Edition. In addition, players will have access to two additional types of weapons that were already introduced with the DLC: the Sansetsukon, a three-part staff, and the fists.
4K and 120 FPS are of course also among the features of the PS5 version. Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will also appear in stores there as part of the new Nioh Collection *.
